Privacy Policy
How personal information is collected, used, shared and protected across every request.
JohnsRide does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
01
Information Collected
Information reaches me when you request a quote, create an account, send a message or look through the coverage options. That can include your name, email address, phone number, vehicle details and a sense of how the car is driven. Some technical details arrive on their own, such as browser type, device information and a rough location drawn from a network address, and they keep the site working and secure.
02
How Information Is Used
I use what is gathered to prepare quotes and lay out coverage that fits a request, to answer questions and handle anything tied to a claim, to keep an account and its policy details current, to improve the site and guard it against misuse, and to meet the obligations the law places on me.
03
Messages and Consent
Where you check the optional text message consent box at signup, JohnsRide may send automated marketing and promotional text messages to the phone number you provide about its consulting services, policy review invitations, and car insurance tips. These texts are for marketing and promotions only. Account, quote and policy updates are never sent by text.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not required to request a quote or purchase any product or service. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance. You can also email john.kary@johnsride.com with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line to opt out of marketing and promotional messages.
Our text messaging service supports the following carriers: AT&T, Boost, MetroPCS®, Sprint, T-Mobile®, US Cellular®, Verizon Wireless, Virgin Mobile, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Text message consent is optional and is not required to open an account or receive a quote. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates. Full messaging terms sit in the Terms & Conditions.
04
Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies and similar tools help the site remember what you prefer, show how pages get used and keep each session secure. Most browsers let you limit or clear them, though a few features may stop behaving once they are switched off.
05
Sharing With Other Parties
I may share information with the providers who help me quote, communicate and run the site, and only as far as a task needs. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates. I may also share it when the law requires it or to protect the safety and rights of the people who use the site. Beyond that, your information stays with me and is never sold, rented or traded to third parties for marketing purposes.
06
Keeping Information Safe
I lean on sensible technical and practical safeguards to protect what is collected against loss, misuse and access it should not have. No way of sending or storing data is ever perfectly secure, so I cannot promise absolute security.
07
How Long Information Is Held
I keep information only as long as the purposes here call for, or as long as the law asks me to hold it for accounting and reporting. Once it is no longer needed, I remove it or strip away whatever ties it back to you.
08
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask me to see, correct or delete your personal information, and to step out of marketing messages. Depending on where you live, further rights may apply, and I handle each request in line with the law.
09
Links to Outside Sites
Some pages may point to outside sites that run under their own privacy practices. I do not control those practices, so reading the policy on any site you follow before sharing anything is worth the moment.
10
Children and Age Limits
The site is meant for adults and is not aimed at children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age the law sets, and I remove it if I find it.
11
Updates to This Policy
I may update this policy as practices or legal requirements shift. The date shown above marks when the current version took effect, and staying on the site after a change means the newer version applies.
